Unlocking the GB70
The NOCO® GB70 Genius Boost Jump Starter is capable of more than you would expect from a lithium jump starter. This powerful, small, and weighing just 1.8 kg can handle an amazing variety of tasks. Try some new things with your favorite Boost Jump Starter! If you’re hesitant about using your GB70, consult your user manual or contact online support. Without further ado, here are 5 things you didn’t know your GB70 could do.
1. Fully charge your GB70 jump starter in less than 3 hours with the 12-Volt fast charge function.
Are you in a pinch and your GB70 jump starter is dead... Don't have time to charge via USB? The 12V fast charge option can turn a dead GB70 into a jump starter in 15 minutes. Want a full charge? Charge from 0 to 100% in just over 2 hours. Simply connect the 12V cable to the "12V IN" port on the GB70, and the other end to the 12V Male plug. Finally, connect to a powered 12V AUX plug (cigarette lighter port) and you're ready to go!

2. Connect a 12V inverter to power the AC outlets for portable devices.
Have you ever been camping and wished you could charge your laptop? The GB70 jump starter can power an inverter thanks to its 12V power capability. Connect the 12V cable to the “12V OUT” port on the GB70, and the other end to the 12V Female connector (12V AUX/cigarette lighter port.) Then simply plug in your 12V inverter and you’re ready to power almost any device, wherever you are!
3. Jump start batteries below 2 Volts with manual override capability.
You may often find yourself behind the wheel of a car with a deeply discharged battery. Batteries with a voltage below 2-volts cannot be started with your starter’s default Boost mode. Instead, using the manual bypass feature will allow you to “Enable” the starting function for a weak battery. Be careful, both spark protection and reverse polarity protection are disabled in manual bypass mode. Make sure the HD battery clamps are connected with the correct polarity to the battery terminals, then press and hold the manual bypass button (a red exclamation point icon within a red circle) for three seconds. The Boost starter's white LED will flash between "On" and "Off" indicating that you are in manual override mode and ready to start your vehicle.

4. Light up your home during a power outage with 8 powerful LEDs.
The GB70 lithium-ion starter features a 400-lumen flashlight. The light is convenient in many situations for use in a car, but it can even be beneficial for a homeowner facing an emergency. The ultra-bright LEDs can illuminate an entire room.
5. Use your GB70 starter in harsh environments thanks to its IP65 protection rating.
Genius Boost lithium starters are designed to withstand almost any environment. The Ingress Protection Rating System categorizes products based on their ability to resist solid objects and moisture. The IP rating ranges from 1-6 for solid objects, with 6 offering complete protection from dust. For moisture, the rating ranges from 1-8, with 8 meaning it can remain completely submerged for a long time. The solid object rating is the first number, while the moisture rating follows. This means that the GB70 starter, with an IP65 rating, offers complete protection from dust and protection from pressurized water (when all door covers are closed).
